Job Summary

Versiti, Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for collecting blood and apheresis products from donors while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and apheresis products from donors in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Interact with donors and coordinators to provide a high level of customer service and ensure a positive donation experience.
  • Operate mobile drive buses and transport staff, supplies, and equipment to and from collection sites.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures, including donor screening, mini-physicals, and automation.
  • Conduct quality control checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL with air brakes endorsement (B) required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computer applications, including Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, and HemaTerra.
  • Experience with phlebotomy collection equipment, including blood mixers, Trima, and Alyx.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to blood and other biohazardous materials. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
