Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at the Downtown Donor Center. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting whole blood and apheresis products from donors, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and efficient donation experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect whole blood and apheresis products from donors
  • Provide customer service and ensure a positive donation experience
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and conduct automation
  • Recruit and convert donors for automation
  • Prepare and pack units for transport
  • Observe donors for reactions and provide reaction care
  • Rebook donors for future donation appointments
  • Operate mobile drive buses and transport staff, supplies, and equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and apply judgment to written or oral instructions
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to learn/utilize computer applications
Working Conditions

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A valid CDL is an asset.
