Apartment Maintenance Technician Trainee Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician Trainee to assist in the maintenance of our apartment portfolio in Madison and Sun Prairie, WI.

The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance duties, including rough and finish carpentry, painting, equipment and facility repairs, and grounds/custodial duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to maintenance requests from management, staff, and residents
  • Perform inspections of apartments, buildings, and common areas
  • Maintain tools and equipment, and keep the maintenance room organized
  • Assist with custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • Perform snow removal activities as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
