About the JobWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN to provide GIP-level hospice care to patients at our Charles County Inpatient Care Center. This is a part-time position with a schedule of 12-hour shifts per week, minimal weekend and holiday commitment.
The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of nursing experience in med/surg or home care, with experience in hospice, end-of-life, or critical care preferred. Hospice certification (CHP) is also preferred.
Main Responsibilities- Engage with patients to build trust and assess their physical, psychosocial, and emotional condition during regular nursing visits.
- Adapt communication style to each individual and circumstance to provide an atmosphere that protects patient dignity.
- Take the lead on managing each patient's journey through their specific illness and ensure patients and families understand each step.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to establish goals of care and ensure regular updates.
- Follow nursing standards of practice and meet or exceed HOC quality goals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and families.
