Job Summary:

The Lead Angiography/Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for overseeing the technical operations required for the performance of routine and advanced procedures. This role acts as the expert-level principal radiologic technologist, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the department.


Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and neuro-interventional procedures.
Coordinate work assignments, including on-call schedules, to ensure efficient operation of the department.
Provide input to leadership regarding hiring and annual performance appraisals for radiologic technologists.
Administer contrast with a power injector as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, assessing patient risk for allergic reaction prior to administration.
Select and operate imaging equipment and associated equipment, verifying patient clinical history and completing pre and post-procedural documentation.

Requirements:
Associates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
Certification and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required).
Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (preferred).
Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (preferred).
State licensure (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience in radiology with surgery experience in the use of CR (required).
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred).
Picture Archival Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred).
