Job Summary

VCU Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiography and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.
  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images.
  • Assess patient risk for allergic reactions to contrast media and other related medications.
  • Document deviations from protocol and patient-specific issues that may impact image quality.
  • Notify healthcare providers of immediate clinical responses necessary based on procedural findings, patient condition, or other relevant concerns.

Requirements

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS certification.
  • 6-month orientation completion.
  • At least one year of experience or successful completion of the 6-month orientation.
