Position Title:
Assistant Store Leader (Finish Line within Macy's)

Overview:
The Assistant Store Leader supports the General Manager in all facets of daily operations by executing the following primary responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:


Assists the General Manager in managing daily operations, focusing on customer engagement, inventory oversight, procedural tasks, and visual merchandising.

Maintains both individual and team sales performance.

Provides daily floor coverage during shifts.

Trains and develops Sales Associates.

Supervises point-of-sale operations.

Ensures security and loss prevention measures are upheld in the store.

Manages contest tracking and performance coaching.

Organizes product shipments, transfers, and inventory.

Maintains store cleanliness and organization.

Responsible for opening and closing the store.

Ensures sales targets are met to qualify for the Assistant Manager role.

Accountable for store sales and performance metrics.

Oversees stock management and merchandise flow.

Takes a proactive role in driving sales and effective selling techniques.

Adheres to company standards regarding sales and performance metrics.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this position.

Requires standing for approximately 5 – 8 hours daily, typically 3 – 5 days per week, including evenings and weekends.

During peak sales periods, extended hours may be required throughout a 1 – 12 hour day.


Involves bending and kneeling to assist customers and reaching to stock merchandise on shelves.

May require climbing ladders or navigating stairs to stock or retrieve merchandise for sale.

Must regularly lift items weighing between 5 – 25 lbs, with potential for heavier weights in certain situations.

Effective communication with customers and supervision of staff is essential.

Must be able to distinguish colors.

Required to work an average of 48 hours weekly.

Compensation:
Assistant Manager pay range: $18.00 per hour. Full-time positions are eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off. Part-time management roles will qualify for the company 401k plan.
