About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Agricultural Credit Underwriting to lead our Retail Credit Underwriting team at Farm Credit Mid-America. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting credit team goals and objectives that align with the association's overall strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to make sound credit decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coaching a team of credit officers to achieve exceptional results
  • Developing and implementing credit policies and procedures to ensure sound lending practices
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective credit delivery and customer service
  • Providing strategic leadership and direction to staff to achieve business objectives
  • Monitoring and analyzing credit trends and risks to ensure a sound loan portfolio

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex credit data and make sound decisions
