- Manage a team of professionals in the Product Department, planning, directing, and monitoring activities to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Develop and maintain profitable and competitive products and pricing by line of business for assigned states.
- Monitor regulatory developments and competitor products, filings, and rates, and respond accordingly.
- As chair of various strategy committees, establish profit and growth objectives by line of business, monitor performance, and coordinate strategies with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, and other departments to achieve these objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum 9 years of experience, or Master's Degree equivalent.
- Interpret and operationalize company policies.
- Determine organizational objectives and set policy.
- Responsible for operations of major significance to the organization.
- Decisions potentially affect financial, employee, or public relations standing of the company or a major business segment.
- Manage multiple functions, typically via subordinate managers, or manage an exceptionally high-impact function.
- Develop and communicate function organizational vision.
- Ensure that overall organizational objectives, budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
- Three or more years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Expertise in personal lines essential.
- Experience developing and implementing products, underwriting, and coverage programs.
