Job Description

UJUU is an eCommerce platform and brand development studio founded in 2020. We aim to connect a global audience of underserved consumers to emerging designers and brands through elegant brand development services and eCommerce solutions.

We envision creating a best-in-class shopping experience for our global community across the African diaspora. To achieve this, we're seeking a talented Creative Director to lead our marketing, creative, and branding efforts.

The Role:
  • As our Creative Director, you will serve as the creative leader across our marketing departments and define our entire aesthetic as a company.
  • You will be responsible for building out our marketing departments, conceiving concepts, guidelines, and strategies for various creative projects, and overseeing them to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Archetype visual brand identities for each UJUU brand and property
  • Conceive and implement creative concepts, guidelines, and strategies
  • Shape brand standards and create procedures for products
  • Recruit, direct, and motivate creative teams
  • Supervise daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and marketing budgets
  • Evaluate trends, assess data, and stay updated with the latest marketing techniques
  • Monitor results and propose future actions
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate ideas
  • Write unique copy that resonates with our community

Requirements:
  • Creative and strategic thinker
  • Multidisciplinary creative
  • Energetic, mature, empathetic person with excellent working knowledge of software
  • A minimum of 5 years' digital experience, particularly designing for web, eCommerce platforms, social, and emerging technologies
  • Proficient at developing branding, evaluating designs, and launching marketing campaigns
  • Solid understanding of design, copy, and web practices
  • Knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models
  • Ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively
