Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle department, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-register and register patients, verifying demographic and financial information
  • Identify and collect payment sources, interfacing with insurers and hospital staff
  • Maintain knowledge of Federal and State regulatory compliance guidelines and Joint Commission requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to promote departmental objectives and quality performance
  • Cross-train in multiple administrative support functions and registration points
Requirements
  • High School or GED required
  • Minimum one year experience in patient access, registration, billing, cash collection, insurance, and/or pre-certification in a medical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and individually, with good problem-solving skills and basic computer skills
