Job Summary

U Mass Memorial Health is seeking a skilled LPN to join our Occupational Health team. As an LPN in this role, you will be responsible for assessing the physical and psychosocial status of patients, administering medication, and providing nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status, obtaining patient histories and administering physician orders
  • Administer medication, take and monitor vitals, and provide nursing care to clients on the unit
  • Record client information in the electronic medical record system daily
  • Offer nursing consult on emergency service evaluations and coordinate care with PCPs, psychiatrists, and other professionals
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in medical nursing, with knowledge of medical, substance abuse, and mental health nursing
  • Proficiency in completing electronic documentation in compliance with grant requirements, agency, state, and federal guidelines and policies
