We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Foth. As a key member of our Water Resources discipline, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of our water resources projects and leading a team of engineers in the design and delivery of complex water resources projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our Water Technical Competency Leader to define and implement the technical vision and strategic roadmap for our water resources discipline.
- Establish, refine, and optimize discipline-specific standard work, training initiatives, and quality assurance/quality control systems to ensure excellence in project delivery.
- Take the reins on technical engineering project designs and reports spanning stormwater management, watershed planning, modeling analysis, green infrastructure, and best management practices.
- Conduct a range of hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including drainage channel design, erosion and sediment control, floodplain modeling, stream and wetland restoration designs, and water quality studies.
- Develop and present technical water resources reports for local, state, and federal agencies, playing a vital role in regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
- Drive watershed and stormwater management planning initiatives, leveraging your expertise to inform sustainable, resilient solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive design plans, specifications, and bid documents for stormwater, drainage, and water quality construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and/or Iowa.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources, with a track record of success as a project manager or technical lead in the engineering consulting sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency with stormwater modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, XPSWMM, as well as AutoCAD, MicroStation, HEC-HMS, and ArcGIS.
- Possess Certified Floodplain Manager Accreditation.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience, including leadership roles overseeing technical teams and hands-on engineering involvement in design, reports, and feasibility studies for water resources projects.
- Proven ability in direct client engagement, building and nurturing relationships to drive project success.
