POSITION TITLE: Evening Maintenance Team Leader

OBJECTIVE:
This role encompasses a diverse range of operational conditions and off-hours responsibilities for facility management, particularly tailored to the Maintenance sector (2 p.m. - 10 p.m., with potential for adjustments). The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the Maintenance teams to develop and execute repair, construction, and preventive maintenance schedules aimed at optimizing the operational readiness of production machinery and facilities across the plant and office environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and oversee cost-efficient operational strategies for the Maintenance Department.
  • Ensure the availability of tools and machinery in the facilities through timely and dependable maintenance services.
  • Foster a skilled and motivated workforce along with supervisory personnel.
  • Establish safe and well-maintained work areas within the department.
  • Drive operational enhancements through innovative maintenance practices.
  • Administer and oversee the preventive maintenance initiatives for plant equipment.
  • Contribute to the organization’s current and future budgetary plans for equipment rehabilitation in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Effectively interpret and enforce company policies and agreements in accordance with sound management principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or technical certification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Comprehensive technical and mechanical expertise.
  • Proven extensive knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical systems, including High Pressure Hydraulics, furnaces, and Grit Blasting machinery.
  • Preferred 4 years of experience in Heavy Manufacturing sectors (steel production, automotive, or forging preferred).
  • Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning and CMMS systems is a plus.
  • Basic electrical maintenance capabilities.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills: data management and analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet navigation.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Work conditions may be hazardous, dirty, and subject to extreme weather and temperature variations.
  • Must be available for on-call duties (24/7) to address issues and concerns as they arise.
