Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the overall sales and customer service strategy for TSC. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the store management team, assisting the Store Manager in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in developing and implementing sales and customer service strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead a team of sales and customer service representatives, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and customer service metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with other store departments to ensure seamless execution of sales and customer service initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to sales, customer service, and employee conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other members of the store management team.

Requirements

  • Previous retail leadership experience, preferably in a sales and customer service role.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team of sales and customer service representatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Indoor and outdoor work environment, with moderate noise levels and temperature fluctuations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store, including a dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register.
