About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Test Technician to join our team at Lube-Tech. As a key member of our Test-Tech facility, you will be responsible for performing routine engine dyno, bench, and field testing, as well as assisting in the operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engine testing, ensuring safe and efficient operation
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on test engines, facilities, control systems, and other mechanical hardware
  • Follow written and verbal instructions on shop processes, referencing parts and service manuals as needed
  • Use basic working knowledge of hand and power tools to assist in fabrication of test fixtures and mounting systems
  • Operate software systems during testing, utilizing knowledge of DAQ systems
  • Assist in installing and removing engine test stands from test cells and engines from test stands
  • Photograph test components for presentations and review
  • Maintain a clean test lab environment, including sweeping and mopping of floors, vacuuming rugs, cleaning windows, and emptying trash containers
  • Perform shipping of engine components, including packing of engines and engine parts, and filling out shipping documentation
  • Generate parts supply lists and maintain inventory
Requirements
  • 2-year technical degree in a related field or related experience
  • 0-4 years of related experience
  • Mechanical experience with powersports and/or small engines
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic fabrication skills
  • Ability to use a personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Working Environment

Work is performed in a testing laboratory and warehouse environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be very loud at times. The employee will occasionally be working around hot engines, high-speed moving parts, and a wide range of temperature conditions. The employee will be working around fabrication machinery.
