Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Diagnostic Technician

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Diagnostic Technician to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Work unsupervised on most tasks
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other certification as required by location
