Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography Technologist PRN Varied, you will perform computed tomography and diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures. You will obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns. You will be responsible for maintaining patient records and files, performing general CT procedures, and assisting with CT-guided IVR procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  2. Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
  3. Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
  4. Support and report any identified compliance issues.
  5. Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and quality.
  6. Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
  7. Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  8. Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  9. Attend all required educational programs and Learn modules.
  10. Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
  11. Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
  12. Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year of employment or transferring into position.
  • State of Kentucky License required.
  • BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Previous experience in CT preferred but not essential for all positions.
