Job Summary:

As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. You will be responsible for performing computed tomography and diagnostic scans, obtaining patient history, and explaining routine procedures to patients. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of patient images.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform computed tomography and diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
  • Maintain patient records and files.
  • Perform general CT procedures and assist with CT-guided IVR procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologists' expectations and protocols.
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Support and report any identified compliance matters.
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
  • Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  • Attend all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
  • Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Required Licensure and Certification: Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year of employment or transferring into position. State of Kentucky License required. BLS from American Heart Association upon hire. Previous experience in CT preferred but not essential for all positions.
