Patient Care Assistant I

At UMass Memorial Health, we are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant I to join our Med Surg team on a per diem basis. As a PCA I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of patient care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients.
- Work effectively with individuals and groups to provide excellent patient care.
- Communicate effectively verbally and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Assist with patient observations, vital signs, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (can be completed during the first 30 days of employment)
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program (preferred)
- High School Diploma/GED
- Recent sub-acute or acute care patient care assistant experience (preferred)
