Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital. This role will provide direct patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various patient care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients.
  • Assist with vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide basic life support and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Recent sub-acute or acute care patient care assistant experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
