Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Scion Executive Search is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Marketing and Communications to lead the national healthcare marketing and communications efforts for a renowned healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic communications, public relations, and marketing initiatives to promote the organization's mission and values.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business growth and improve patient care.
- Oversee the development and implementation of corporate communications, including investor relations, media relations, and public relations/community engagement initiatives.
- Manage a team of professionals responsible for internal and executive communications, strategic partnerships, marketing and business development initiatives, public relations and media relations efforts, crisis communications, digital marketing strategies, corporate sponsorships, and social media strategies.
- Partner with hospital leadership to propel the organization towards its strategic objectives.
- Function as the organization's primary spokesperson in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Requires ten or more years of demonstrated success in executive leadership roles in marketing and communications within a healthcare delivery setting.
- Proven experience in navigating large, complex national health systems.
- Must be knowledgeable in government relations, acute care, and healthcare facilities.
- Demonstrated success in effectively communicating with senior-level executives, board members, physician leaders, elected officials, and key community stakeholders.
- Possess advanced organizational, communication, planning, and leadership abilities, coupled with a diplomatic approach to fostering positive relationships across the entire health system.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in government relations, including a track record of collaborating with elected officials and invested parties.
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring abilities to guarantee the effectiveness of both the corporate and hospital marketing communications teams.
- Established track record in managing investor relations.
- Network or prior engagement with national news media in major markets is highly beneficial.
- A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is required; Masters in a related discipline is preferred.
This exceptional opportunity offers a strong salary of $200,000 to $300,000+ per year plus discretionary bonuses. An exceptional benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and more.
