Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Director, responsible for leading and managing a team of nurses and support staff within our Memory Care Unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage a Team: Oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within the unit, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure excellent patient care and staff development.
  • Care Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident well-being.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular assessments to maintain quality standards and compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication among team members, departments, and stakeholders, promoting a culture of transparency and respect.

Requirements:

  • RN License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Degree or Certification: Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree or certification in a relevant field.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting.
  • Compassionate Approach: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and families.
  • Strong Clinical Skills: Excellent clinical skills, including strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation abilities.
  • Leadership and Organizational Abilities: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
