Job Title: Senior Conversation Experience Designer, Search and Conversational Shopping Design

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Conversation Experience Designer to join our Search and Conversational Shopping Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating world-class, user-centered designs that enhance the customer experience on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create user-centered designs that consider UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings.
  • Work with Science and Editorial teams to train the LLM to generate content that matches the intention of the designs.
  • Demonstrate leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy.
  • Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements.
  • Design the interface and interaction flow of new features.
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
  • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, Amazon.com leadership, and external partners for review and feedback.
  • Work with our usability and data mining teams to assess and optimize new and existing features.
  • Develop high-level strategy for customers for both near and long term.
  • Collaborate with other design team members on experiences, frameworks, process, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer-Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Linguistics, Psychology or a related field or an equally strong and relevant portfolio of work.
  • 8+ years' experience as a conversation designer.
  • A remarkable portfolio that demonstrates excellence in composition and execution as the level desired for the application.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Experience defining or maintaining design style guide.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts.
  • Experience designing for LLM.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
