Position Overview
The Vulnerability Management Analyst plays a crucial role within the Production Engineering team, focusing on the security of operational technology systems. This position involves the assessment, development, and execution of security evaluations for manufacturing systems and networks, particularly in relation to machine control networks and industrial control systems (ICS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a management program for application hardware and software/firmware to ensure compliance with approved versions within the operational technology environment. Collaborate with equipment engineers and production teams to assess the integration of hardware and software.
  • Assess and prioritize identified vulnerabilities in hardware and software/firmware, ensuring that remediation efforts are tracked and completed. Participate in strategic discussions regarding threat management and contribute to emergency response initiatives as necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessments for significant changes to applications or systems, documenting necessary patches and identifying potential vulnerabilities. Address security considerations related to ongoing operations and the lifecycle management of software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold technical security standards, providing support in the application of these standards to various projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation outlining the threat and vulnerability management program, including policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience. An Associate degree combined with six or more years of experience in PLC programming or related control systems is also acceptable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with machine control networks and industrial control systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of communication networks.
  • Proficiency in industrial cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both customers and internal teams.
  • Strong business acumen within a technical context.
