ASML US, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Data Scientist Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced engineers and scientists to develop and improve our lithography machines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis and machine learning, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and developing data-driven solutions to improve our manufacturing processes.

You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to design and implement experiments, collect and analyze data, and develop models to predict and optimize our manufacturing outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data science and analytics, and to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns
  • Develop data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing processes
  • Design and implement experiments to collect and analyze data
  • Develop models to predict and optimize manufacturing outcomes
  • Work closely with engineering and research teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 60 hours completed towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering field
  • Strong foundation in data analysis and machine learning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Majors:

  • Physics, Optics, Electronics, Micro-electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or IC manufacturing

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent data analysis software
  • Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines
  • Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability
  • Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements
  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with manager, co-workers and customer
  • Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines
