Position Summary

As an integral member of Grantek's Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing real-time automation solutions that span from the manufacturing floor to enterprise-level applications. This will involve utilizing a variety of programming, configuration, and design tools, including PLC and PAC Programming, HMI application design, SCADA design, network architecture, database design, vision system design, machine safety system design, servo motion control, information solution design, MES design, and ERP connector development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions.
  • Participating in the conceptual design phase of projects.
  • Programming, debugging, and testing systems.
  • Documenting project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability, and case studies.
  • Commissioning new solutions at client locations and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Developing methodologies for complex problem-solving.
  • Staying updated with new technologies.
  • Mentoring peers in your areas of expertise.

Qualifications
  • Completion or near completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with some or all of the technologies listed above.
  • A meticulous, analytical, and self-motivated individual who is a quick learner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% throughout North America.
