Role Summary
We are seeking a Junior Program Management Officer to assist our NAVAIR client in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will engage in various Account Management and Information Assurance support tasks, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Coordinating the processing of System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs) for new and existing accounts
  • Assisting with user access requirements, including facilities and system access
  • Providing general administrative support to the Program Management Office
  • Offering technical and administrative assistance for process improvement initiatives
  • Supporting department leadership and associated personnel

Required Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate should be familiar with:

  • Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Office Application Suite
  • Project management principles
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Team collaboration and cooperation
  • Working within classified systems (e.g., SIPRNet) in secure environments
  • Basic understanding of information security, Cybersecurity, and the Risk Management Framework is preferred

Qualifications
An AA/AS degree and up to three (3) years of relevant experience are required. A Junior level candidate will assist more experienced staff and/or perform functional duties under their supervision.

A High School diploma/GED combined with two (2) years of additional experience may substitute for an Associate's Degree. Alternatively, an Associate's Degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience may replace a Bachelor's Degree.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in NAVAIR environments.

The applicant must meet the certification and clearance requirements established in accordance with the DoD Manual 8570. An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory to commence employment. The candidate may undergo a security investigation and must satisfy eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
