Position Overview

The Infantry serves as the essential core of the Army. These dedicated Soldiers are tasked with securing and maintaining territory during various combat scenarios. You will engage, defend, and seize enemy positions utilizing sophisticated weaponry and strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support reconnaissance missions
  • Deploy, operate, and retrieve anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
  • Manage weapon systems under diverse conditions, including target engagement with night vision technology
  • Handle and maintain communication devices
  • Function as a member of a fire team during both training exercises and combat operations
  • Process captured personnel and documentation
  • Assist in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and armaments
  • Utilize, maintain, and securely store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)

Your training and experience as an Infantryman in the Army National Guard will cultivate discipline and leadership abilities. Compensation and Training
Instead of incurring costs to acquire these skills, you will earn a salary while training. In the Army National Guard, you will develop these essential job skills while receiving a consistent paycheck and qualifying for educational assistance.

Training for an Infantryman entails 14 weeks of Basic Training followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT). This period includes both classroom instruction and field exercises under simulated combat conditions.

Requirements
