Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiovascular Services

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our cardiovascular services team at UofL Health Jewish/Heart Hospital. This individual will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex heart conditions.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that involves providing medical care to patients in the step-down units and intensive care units. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough history and physical exams, as well as consults and daily progress notes on patients in ICU and step-down units.
- Assess the physical and psychosocial status of clients through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
- Work collaboratively with physicians to formulate treatment plans for health problems and follow-up.
- Write prescriptions for medication, blood tests, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, and therapeutic measures.
- Request consultation from physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and quality patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited program with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent degree.
- Board certification required; Acute Care Certification focus preferred but not required.
- Required licensure: APRN and RN in the state of Kentucky; Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Kentucky.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
