Cisco UCS Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cisco UCS Technician to join our team at Motion Recruitment. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex UCS environments, including isolation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of UCS environments, including isolation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless project delivery and BAU duties.
  • Participate in meetings to gather requirements and work with the ETS IT team on changes.
  • Develop and implement best practices for aggregate, volume, share, and backup configuration.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • NetApp: Data Migration, Determining traffic origins, Best practices for aggregate/volume/share/backup configuration.
  • WinTel: UCS Configuration, Fabric Interconnects, UCS Manager (Chassis/Blade Service Profiles), ESXi Blade Configuration, vSphere, Adding new datastores/blades and migrating systems, VM Server Build/Replacement Best Practices, Active Directory Security Groups Best Practices, Group Policy Best Practices.
  • Networking: Knowledgeable about network fundamentals: VLANs and basic switching.
