Our Perianesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
As a Perianesthesia Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from the operating room to the recovery area. Your expertise will be essential in developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients and their families.
Responsibilities
• Provide pre-and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Develop, implement, and assess patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute, inpatient PACU setting within the last 3 years strongly preferred or Graduate of ICU residency with a minimum of six months ICU experience
• Possession of a BSN degree is preferred
License/Certification
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
• ACLS is required for the Surgery Admit & Discharge Unit (SADU) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of date of hire
Pay Range
$71.80/hour
