Aon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Professional I to join our team. As an Associate Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and classifying insurance risks, determining premium amounts, and delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate insurance applications and related documents to assess the degree of insurable risk and determine appropriate premium amounts.
  • Obtain all relevant information to ensure a thorough evaluation of the risk, including inspection reports, financial statements, loss data, and other necessary documents.
  • Review, evaluate, and rate new and renewal business, recommending actions to attain premium rate and loss ratio objectives.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for presentation to potential clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Approve coverages within specified underwriting authority, either as submitted or on a modified basis, or decline the risk in its entirety.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with marketing professionals and producers to attract and retain clients.
  • Review policy forms to ensure consistency and keep producers informed regarding coverage issues.
  • Complete underwriting projects at the direction of management, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results.
Requirements
  • P&C License (or must be obtained within 90 days)
  • LAH License (or must be obtained within 90 days)
  • Preferably 1-3 years of insurance industry experience
