Dialysis Nurse Manager

As a Dialysis Nurse Manager at Henry Ford Health System, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the activities of the dialysis programs. You will ensure comprehensive, quality care for patients on dialysis, organize and implement educational programs, and provide development opportunities for staff. You will also participate in the administration of unit policies and procedures, ensuring that all Federal End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
Support and maintain a team program, delegating responsibilities to provide supervision and instruction necessary to meet the needs of patients and families.
Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring patients' rights to appropriate therapy.
Interpret and execute doctor's orders, treating patients with dignity, respect, and consideration for individual needs.
Provide direct patient care when necessary, administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians according to established procedures.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan required.
Minimum of 12 months of experience in nursing care and an additional 6 months of experience in providing care to patients on maintenance dialysis required.
Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred, preferably in dialysis.
