As a Dialysis Nurse Manager at Henry Ford Health System, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the activities of the dialysis programs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring comprehensive, quality care for patients on dialysis. You will also be responsible for organizing and implementing educational programs and providing development opportunities for staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and maintain a team program, delegating responsibilities to provide supervision and instruction necessary to meet the needs of patients and families.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring patients' rights to appropriate therapy are met.
- Interpret and execute doctor's orders, treating patients with dignity, respect, and consideration for individual needs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan required.
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in nursing care and an additional 6 months of experience in providing care to patients on maintenance dialysis required.
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred, preferably in dialysis.
