Your Role:
As a Facilities Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Manager and/or Assistant Manager. This position involves collaborating with leadership to effectively plan, organize, and direct the engineering department, ensuring operations are conducted efficiently while upholding the highest quality standards set by the company. You will oversee Engineering Technicians, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, including the Global Harmonized System for chemicals (GHS).

Your Contributions:

  • Assist in managing the engineering department and vendor operations.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Engineering Technicians in daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Internal, Quality, and Loss Prevention Audit standards.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and department leadership to maintain compliance with workplace standards.
  • Support financial management within the engineering department.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and contractors.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids for management consideration.
  • Implement strategic initiatives and programs set by resort management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • CPO and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • OSHA and EPA certifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills with contractors and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety practices for power and shop tools.
  • Experience with pool pumps and filtration systems.
  • Familiarity with ADA requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding of fire codes and protection measures.
  • Analytical skills to comprehend numerical data and its implications.
  • Broad knowledge of concepts and practices relevant to managed work groups.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to enhance brand image.
  • Professional demeanor and effective communication with guests and corporate personnel.
  • Valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience, with one year in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience in mechanical fields such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is advantageous.
