Key Responsibilities
As a Job Coach, you will report to the Director of Community Employment and play a crucial role in facilitating vocational training services. Your mission will be to assist individuals with diverse abilities in achieving independence through integrated work environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one vocational support and job skills training for clients with disabilities.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective communication with clients, managers, and employers.
- Encouraging positive outcomes and accountability within the Employment Services Team.
- Building a company culture that reflects our values and meets client interests and employment goals.
Client Relations
Foster a person-centered service culture that aligns with our mission to deliver quality care in community settings. Ensure high client satisfaction by regularly communicating progress and addressing individual needs.
Employment Training
Support clients as they transition into new jobs by educating them on workplace safety, policies, and effective communication. Provide tailored job coaching plans and assist in identifying necessary job accommodations.
Community Integration
Collaborate with case managers to connect clients with community resources that promote self-advocacy and employment retention.
Documentation
Maintain precise records of services provided and client progress, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and preferably have at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness. Training in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention must be completed within the first four months of employment.
