Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to lead our production team and ensure the safe and efficient execution of our value streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production execution, shipping and receiving, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including OSHA and Ontario Health & Safety Act & Regulations.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate value stream activities to meet production goals and scheduling demands.
- Provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety, HAACP, GMP, and allergens.
- Address violations, document incidents, and communicate with management as required.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review production needs, goals, and issues.
- Maintain operations data, prepare reports, and evaluate production metric results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve downtime issues, working with engineering, maintenance, and sanitation departments as needed.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Employee Relations
- Demonstrate positive leadership practices, including setting clear goals and providing regular feedback.
- Maintain a positive employee environment, resolving conflicts and problems as they arise.
- Ensure effective new hire training and cross-training, and provide feedback to trainers and trainees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree and equivalent experience.
- Two years of manufacturing supervision experience, with production floor experience and food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lean tools, statistical tools, root cause analysis, and failure mode & effect analysis.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
