Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Identification and Preparation: Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety and understanding.
- CT Scans and Image Acquisition: Obtain images per protocols, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
- Contrast Administration: Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establish intravenous lines, and administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures.
- Image Transfer and Management: Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS, and verify and segment images at the QC station.
- Other Duties: Perform tasks in a timely manner, run the schedule creating a consistent workflow, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
- Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible. Requires advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
- Professional Experience: Prior education, training, and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform the assigned tasks, maintain current competency in HCP BLS, and work effectively in a team environment.
