Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shop Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Archrock. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in our production area.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and well-organized work environment
- Perform minor electrical repairs and installations alone or as part of a team
- Complete and submit required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
- Utilize on-the-job training of all shop mechanic personnel
- Install pneumatic tubing, layout tubing on skids, and connect to end devices
- Fabricate bracket braces and instrument racks
- Install wire and cable laid by hand, and in cable trays
- Assist with changes to panel selection, wiring, etc.
- Maintain a file of installation design and technique for new units through pictures and diagrams
- Test control panels and make connections in compliance with 10lb pull tests
- Perform unit certification, final inspection, and test document
- Make final electrical connections after installation of conduit and tubing
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training preferred
- 1-3 years related experience
- 2 years electrical experience
- Some experience in the area of electronics
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds. The employee must also be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist with good balance. Regularly required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs, and vertical ladders.
