Job Purpose

The Dental Instrument Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, instrument trays are set up, and operatories are prepared for patient use.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned and prepared for patient use.
  • Sterilize and disinfect all instruments and dental equipment.
  • Set up instrument trays and prepare materials for scheduled dental procedures.
  • Notify the Office Manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns.
  • Attend morning huddles and regular office meetings.
  • Participate in continuing education and training seminars.
  • Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Understand and follow state and Federal OSHA laws, infection control, and safety standards.
  • Learn and follow Familia Dental's administrative and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a professional working environment within the office team.
  • Clean and dispose of trash, sharps, and medical waste.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Availability/Schedule

Office hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-7 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM-4 PM.

Full-time employment: 30-40 hours per week, 4+ days a week, with availability to work Saturdays as needed.
