**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide support and assistance to design, development, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform.
  • Support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities.
  • Provide project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM z/OS assembly language, including understanding assembly instructions, addressing modes, data manipulation techniques, and job control processing.
  • Familiarity with IBM mainframe architecture, including storage hierarchy, system calls, and interrupt handling mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) tool, including version control, release management, security, and access control.
  • Knowledge of BMC Control-M, specifically with respect to automating job scheduling, managing workflows, and monitoring job execution.
  • Understanding of mainframe tools, including debuggers, assemblers, linkers, and utilities specific to the IBM z/OS mainframe environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of legacy mainframe data formats, including DB2, QSAM, and VSAM data formats.
  • Understanding of target Java code, including object-oriented programming principles, Java syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Active IRS MBI Clearance (Highly Desirable)
  • Experience with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL), QSAM Data Formats (Highly Desirable)
  • Experience with IRS Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) (Highly Desirable)
