Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Representative to join our team at Guidehouse. As an Admissions Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that all insurance notifications, verifications, and authorizations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform insurance notification, verification, and authorization activities to financially secure accounts.
  • Interact with insurance companies, patients, physician offices, and other hospital departments to thoroughly document accounts.
  • Explain financial requirements to patients or other responsible parties and collect deposits or deductibles as required.
  • Aggressively explore all possible options to secure an account when problems arise.
  • Responsible for thorough system documentation according to established standards.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, physician offices, and/or other hospital departments to complete account documentation requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance, and/or Pre-Certification, or 3 years directly related experience in a hospital.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • CPAR or CHAA certification.
