We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team at Wooster Community Hospital. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- **Cleaning and Disinfection**: Perform various cleaning tasks following Environmental Services procedures and hospital policies, including cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and equipment.
- **Waste Management**: Collect non-medical and medical waste, operate waste autoclave, label medical waste containers, and collect corrugated boxes.
- **Floor Care Maintenance**: Maintain floors and other surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- **Linen Distribution**: Stock and distribute clean linens to patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.
- **Physical Demands**: Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and move around the hospital as needed.
- **Flexibility**: Flexibility with hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- **Education**: High School Diploma or GED.
- **Experience**: Institutional cleaning and floor care maintenance experience.
- **Customer Service**: Good customer service skills and ability to interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner.
- **Leadership**: Direct department personnel in the absence of the Supervisor.
- **Communication**: Respond to house pages and communicate effectively with staff and management.
