As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the environmental services and linen departments, ensuring that work is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the environmental services and linen departments, including scheduling, employee relations, hiring, ordering supplies, and quality assurance.
  • Assist the department director in creating and implementing strategies to maintain department goals and key metrics, including productivity, room turnaround time, HCAHPS cleanliness, support services satisfaction, employee engagement, and budget.
  • Interact and develop relationships with all stakeholders to better understand needs and provide optimal service.
  • Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates, and maintaining acceptable turnover.
  • Responsible for orientation and training of new staff, as well as continued education of existing staff.
  • Responsible for leadership development of all supervisors and team leads.
  • Perform regular inspections and evaluations of the facility, recommending action items when necessary.
  • Responsible for managing floor care operations and scheduling projects.
  • Responsible for department inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Conduct regular staff huddles and rounds.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of leadership experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Knowledge of floor care maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint presentation skills required.
