Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the environmental services and linen departments, including scheduling, employee relations, hiring, ordering supplies, and quality assurance.
- Assist the department director in creating and implementing strategies to maintain department goals and key metrics, including productivity, room turnaround time, HCAHPS cleanliness, support services satisfaction, employee engagement, and budget.
- Interact and develop relationships with all stakeholders to better understand needs and provide optimal service.
- Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates, and maintaining acceptable turnover.
- Responsible for orientation and training of new staff, as well as continued education of existing staff.
- Responsible for leadership development of all supervisors and team leads.
- Perform regular inspections and evaluations of the facility, recommending action items when necessary.
- Responsible for managing floor care operations and scheduling projects.
- Responsible for department inventory and ordering supplies.
- Conduct regular staff huddles and rounds.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of leadership experience in a hospital setting required.
- Knowledge of floor care maintenance preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint presentation skills required.
