Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Riverside, California.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images of internal organs for physician interpretation.
- Operate advanced ultrasound equipment, including real-time and mobile devices, to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Assist physicians in sterile procedures and perform specialized ultrasound exams, including biopsies and aspirations.
- Enter test data and patient information into ultrasound equipment and computer systems to record scan results and diagnostic data.
- Identify and process images, preparing them for physician interpretation.
- Utilize ultrasonic imaging devices to produce optimized image quality and document significant structures according to department protocol.
- Document clinical activity in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with department guidelines.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process in delivering services to patients.
- Identify the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition and make accommodations for such differences.
- Utilize proper Body Mechanics.
- Recent experience (within the last twelve months) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn within 6 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Basic Life Support.
- 1 year clinical experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in an acute care medical center.
- Relevant specialty experience may be required depending on department needs.
