Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and producing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis of diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of internal organs and tissues.
- Perform specialized ultrasound exams, including assisting physicians in sterile procedures and operating ultrasound equipment in the IR suite.
- Enter test data and patient information into ultrasound equipment and/or applicable computer systems to record scan results and diagnostic data.
- Identify and process images, preparing them for physician interpretation.
- Utilize ultrasonic imaging devices to produce optimized image quality.
- Document significant structures in accordance with department protocol, including technical factors, patient variables, and image annotation.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area in accordance with department guidelines.
Requirements:
- Recent experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, preferably in an acute care medical center.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and apply the principles, theories, practices, and techniques of diagnostic medical sonography.
