Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The successful candidate will assist in conducting and supporting research in a laboratory setting, utilizing various techniques and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support research involving techniques such as laboratory operations, specimen processing, and data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, and present results during laboratory meetings.
  • Assist with the development, data collection, and analysis of research experiments.
  • Collaborate with other research laboratories at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biological science or a related field.
  • One year of previous laboratory experience, or relevant coursework and studies.
  • Knowledge of biology, physiology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior laboratory experience with airway epithelial cell cultures.
  • Experience with techniques such as cell culture, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, DNA/RNA work, and immunohistochemistry.
