Director of Quality Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality Management to join our team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the overall operations and management of the Engineering/Maintenance, Security, Mail room, Emergency Management, and Safety Officer functions.
- Participate in and provide recommendations for the budget process, merchandise/equipment procurement to the COO with appropriate CAR/PAC submissions.
- Recommend and participate in quality improvement projects, energy conservation, track and analyze findings, and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Federal/State regulatory agencies, rules, and regulations.
- Manage communication and tasks between Security, Mail room, Emergency Management, the Environment of Care Committee, Government agencies, and departments within the hospital.
- Participate in off-site government functions related to Emergency and Security management and implement programs and procedures related to these functions.
- Manage Joint Commission compliance efforts within the Environment of Care, primarily Emergency Management, Security, and Hazmat.
- Responsible for Policies and Procedure development and implementation.
- Demonstrate and assure a professional, cooperative interaction with all hospital departments, medical staff, regulatory agencies, city and county employees (EMS, Police dept), and the public in keeping with the mission and philosophy of Manatee Memorial Hospital at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years Directing/Managing multiple departments with extensive experience in the Engineering/Maintenance field.
- Ability to evaluate facility problems and perform necessary repairs if needed.
- Broad knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical repairs, and systems, utilities, grounds care, and total building systems associated with the health care industry.
- Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific, technical, and mechanical schematics/blueprints.
- Knowledge of all fire protection codes and all accrediting agencies, JCAHO, AHCA, State & Local.
- Broad knowledge of Emergency Management and overall procedural functions.
