Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide clinical therapy and support to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans with patients and families to address identified psychosocial needs.
  • Provide short- and long-term therapy to students enrolled in the school program.
  • Complete and document assessments and plans in the electronic medical record, accurately reflecting the patient's current condition and situational factors.
  • Provide community resources to patients and families, with follow-up as needed.
  • Work with school administration and clinical staff to develop a plan of care, as appropriate.
  • Provide clinical and professional consultation regarding teen center patients to other teen center staff.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of policy and procedures, and regulatory compliance, to optimize client care and safety.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives based on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • Participate in recruiting, orienting, and mentoring new staff.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and memberships.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for own professional growth and development.
  • Use EPIC for patient documentation.
  • Provide mental health evidenced-based curriculum to students.
  • Track data for grant reports, and assist team members as needed.
  • Conduct mental health evidenced-based prevention programs.
  • Provide mental health education and training to school teachers and administration, teen center staff, and the community.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work.
  • Experience with youth in clinical therapy and crisis intervention.
  • State of Michigan Social Work License (LMSW).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development and dynamics of behavior for age-related groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, and ability to adapt to technical demands of electronic communication.
  • Ability to work independently, but contribute positively to team performance.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize multiple situations and tasks, while remaining calm.
  • Willingness to be flexible, and cope with multiple job stressors.
